Pirates of Penzance

Our church does a summer musical every year, and this year Poppy was in the show! The play was Pirates of Penzance, and he played a funny police man. You should have seen his dance moves! We took Lilly a little early to go back stage and meet all the characters. She even got there in time to see Poppy in the makeup chair, and decided she would get in on the action too!

Not so sure about meeting one of the Pirates...

Grammie Comes to Visit

Grammie came to visit last weekend! We had a special birthday lunch for her on Sunday. Jake cooked hamburgers, chicken and corn on the cob on the grill. Lilly wore her special Princess dress and helped us get everything ready.

Beach Trip

We went to the beach last week for Lucy's first beach trip. The girls had a great time! Lucy slept on the beach and Lilly built lots of sand castles and had a blast playing in the waves with Jake.
Lilly had a couple of swimming lessons before we went, which unfortunately did not go so well... but she got lots of extra swimming practice in the pool. One day she forgot she didn't have her swimmies on and jumped in the pool and went under. (Don't worry- we caught her!) But she held her breath when she went under- so I guess she's making progress! Lucy loved the pool too- but was exhausted by the time she got out. They both slept great the whole week. We all had a nice relaxing week... and my favorite part was no cooking!!

Bath Time

Bath time is always a favorite at our house. Lilly and Lucy love to play in the water, and I love it because bed time comes next!

Jake's Birthday!!

We celebrated Jake's birthday with BBQ and a homemade German Chocolate Cake. Yum!

Fourth of July at The Club

We celebrated the 4th of July at The Club this year. Food, music, fireworks and a view... what more do you need? Maybe matching red, white and blue outfits!

Riverchase Car Parade

The Annual Riverchase Car Parade is traditionally held over the weekend of July 4th. If you know anything about Jake Livingston, you know he has a thing for cars. This may have been more exciting than Christmas Morning for him. At the end of the parade, the cars end up at the country club parked on the golf course. We decided it was a good spot for a family photo.

Making French Toast with Daddy

You may notice that Lilly is missing pants in a bunch of pictures. She's really into picking out her own outfits these days, which usually consisit of undies and a tacky walmart t-shirt. Good thing we have so many cute summer dresses!

Anniversary

June 22, 2011 was our 9th Anniversary. Can't believe we've been married that long... those years just fly by! We celebrated with dinner at Hot and Hot Fish Club.
