Puppy Love

Pearl LOVES Baby Lucy! If Lucy is sitting in the floor, Pearl just can't help herself- she has to give her a big kiss right in the face. You can't tell in the pictures, but Lucy thinks it's pretty funny.

"I'm not tired!"

Lilly insisted she wasn't tired at nap time the other day, so I finally gave in and let her read books in her room. This is how I found her.

6 Months Old!!

Can't believe Lucy is 6 months old already, but I can't remember what life was like without her either. She weighed in at 16 pounds and 11 ounces. She was 50th percentile for height and 75th percentile for weight (hopefully that will even out a little bit before high school!) I need to post a picture of her chubby legs asap!~

San Francisco

Jake, Lucy and I went to San Francisco for an ENT conference in September. We saw lots of friends from Rochester and had a great time. I wish I had taken some group pictures of everyone together, but it was SO fun to see everyone. Still don't miss Rochester though! San Francisco was great- we stayed at the Ritz, ate lots of good food, and went to a baseball game. Lucy was a good sport and let us drag her around all over the place and keep her up way past her bed time.

Lilly's First Day of School

How is she old enough to be in preschool? I don't know- but she really loves it! She is in Ms. Lynda's class this year! They have centers, and a class helper, a letter of the week, and they even do some science experiments. When I picked her up from school, she talked the whole way home telling me everything she did at school. I love that she loves school!

Check out Little Miss Sassy Pants in her Big Girl High Chair! I just really love these pictures, so I had to post them. Lucy is loving her baby food (big surprise- she's a good eater!) She didn't really care for rice cereal, but she enjoys her oatmeal every morning. So far, she's tried squash, sweet potatoes, pears and peaches.

Tiny Dancer

Lilly had her first dance class last week. I have pretty much been waiting for this day for the last three and half years!! In her class, she's learning tap, ballet, and tumbling. She loved every minute of it, and after just one class, she's already perfected her bow. What a natural. Don't worry, there will be a recital in May and your all invited. Here she is showing off a few of her moves before class!

On a side note, check out the new paint color of our entrance hall. I'm really loving it!

Country Club Camp Out

The Riverchase Country Club hosted a camp out on the Golf Course. They grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and even had a giant movie screen. Lucy and I went for dinner and then came home when it started getting dark. Jake and Lilly stayed to brave the wilderness and sleep in the tent. However, due to the creepy crawly bugs that somehow found their way into the tent, Lilly was home by 11. That's my girl!

Mom and Pop's House

We went to visit Mom and Pop at the beach! We swam in the pool, went on some boat rides, and ate at lots of fun restaurants. Lilly and Jake even swam in the bay. Joy Joy and Poppy came too. Here's a few pictures:

Laura, Kevin & Kai Come to Visit!

Laura, Kevin, & Baby Kai came to visit us while we were at the beach. Laura and I have been friends since the summer after 3rd grade when her family moved in next door to my family. We have a picture of us in high school sitting on this same stair case at Mom and Pop's house. Amazingly, we both still look exactly the same!!

Growing...

Just getting so big!

Cupcakes!!

Our neighbors, Bailey and Emma Catherine came over and made cupcakes with us one night. The girls did everything- even cracking the eggs. They had to mix, put the batter in the pan (you know you want a bite!) and decorate. Eating them was the best part!

Summer Days

We spend lots of time outside in our yard. We finally hung up the baby swing for Lucy, and Lilly loves to help push her. Lilly also likes to help Jake do yard work. Pearl gets a little jealous when we make her stay inside.

What Color?

I hope she says "lellow" for a really, really long time- I just love it!

Notice Lilly's tacky airbrushed dolphin t-shirt. She would wear this everyday, all day long if I would let her. In a perfect world, she would pair it with some undies and her pink cowgirl boots. The perfect outfit for any outing.

4 Months Old!!

Happy 4 Months to Lucy!! I can't believe she's already 4 months old. She got a great report at her 4 month checkup. And our suspicions we're confirmed... she is growing! Weighing in at 14 pounds, 7 ounces, she is in the 75th percentile for height and weight. (So different from her sister who was only 25th percentile for the first year of her life!) All those little rolls are so cute- just more of her to squeeze!

Pirates of Penzance

Our church does a summer musical every year, and this year Poppy was in the show! The play was Pirates of Penzance, and he played a funny police man. You should have seen his dance moves! We took Lilly a little early to go back stage and meet all the characters. She even got there in time to see Poppy in the makeup chair, and decided she would get in on the action too!

Not so sure about meeting one of the Pirates...
